Completed the Master Degree in Food Science from IPB University through the SAINTEK DIKTI scholarship in 2014. Currently, she is appointed as a Head of Food Technology Department. One of the achievements that has been achieved is being certified in International Competence as Master Quality Manager from the American Academy of Project Management in 2021. She has also been awarded as the Best Supervisor in the Indonesian Student Entrepreneurship (KMI) Award 2020 and has written a book with the title Escherichia coli: Pathogenicity, Analysis and Risk Assessment.

Maryam Jameelah completed her master’s program from the Food Science Department of IPB University through a 2014 BPPDN scholarship. She has a research track record in the field of microbiology studies, halal food, and fermented food products. Focusing on halal food science, in 2022 she get a competency certificate as an Assessor in the field of halal Auditor competence.

With a Double Degree Program Faculty of Agricultural Technology Universitas Gadjah Mada and Graduate School of Agriculture Kyoto University, she gained a comprehensive understanding of theoretical principles and practical knowledge of food hydrocolloids and food emulsions. Her research interests focused on the extraction, characterization, and application of gelatin. She extended her research to the food processing of biopolymers related to dispersing and emulsifying properties. Her teaching experience in Food Chemistry, Food Analysis, Food Packaging, Food Processing, and Sensory Evaluation of Food. Recently, she is also doing fundamental research for the product development of legumes and utilizing unused materials.

“An opinion: the hero in modern era is a food technologist”
He has been graduated from Department of Food Science and Nutrition, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand in 2019. He has research enthusiasm on gut microbiota, human nutrition and health. In depth of his research entitled “Effect of Vitamin A-Fortified Rice on Gut Microbiota in Muslim Thai Lactating Women and Infants” was awarded as an outstanding thesis the year of 2022 (categories of health science by Graduate School PSU). More than that, he and his students were successfully winning in several competitions both national and international. Nowadays, he lectures in several courses e.g. functional food, food technology, and processing.

“Believe that you can, and you’re halfway there”
She completed her master’s degree in the Department of Food Science, Northeast Forestry University, China, supported by Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS). She was awarded as an outstanding international student graduate in 2021, along with the best thesis nominated by Food Science Department. Her research study mainly focused on food processing and phytochemicals of food. She managed to publish several SCI papers, such as “Comparative Analysis of Volatile Profiles in Two Grafted Pine Nuts by Headspace-SPME/GC–MS and Electronic Nose as Responses to Different Roasting Conditions” in Food Research International journal.
